  26. There appears to be a bug in metaform which flips polygon surfaces under
  27. certain conditions.  Eg: when the polygons get real small, or when the
  28. surface facing is ambiguous after metaforming.  
  29.  
  30. I try to avoid this problem by using un-tripled polygons only during
  31. metaform.  This seems to help.  It means you have to use 4 point polygons
  32. only, but this is not difficult if you plan from the beginning for it.  
  33.  
  34. Tripling polygons prior to metaform also increases object "stiffness" and
  35. mutes the metaform process, sometimes profoundly.  I have gotten better
  36. results using 4 point polygons only.
